  • Story Text: A sunny Berlin welcomed soccer fans to the capital on Saturday (June 6) for its first Champions League final.
    Fans were able to enjoy the sunshine in the fan park close to the Brandenburg gate where they can also play soccer games and watch performances.
    On Friday (June 5) the temperature soared to 28C (83f) with the forecast for Saturday even higher.
    By the time the match kicks off at 2045 CET (1845 GMT) it should be cooler, but whatever the thermometer reads, emotions will be at boiling point with 74,000 fans watching at the stadium which was built for the 1936 Olympic Games.
    Barcelona are attempting to lift the cup for the fourth time in the last ten years and the fifth occasion in their history, while Juventus are seeking a first success since 1996.
