  • Story Text: A triumphant Barcelona team departed from their Berlin hotel on Sunday (June 7) after a spectacular victory over Juventus in the Champions League final on Saturday (June 6).
    Fans clamoured to get a view of the players as they boarded the bus that was to take them to the airport for their return flight to Spain. They can expect a heroes' welcome upon return having secured the trophy, which Pique and Neymar carried proudly onto the bus.
    Neymar was one of the stars of the night, wrapping up a 3-1 win in stoppage time to net the treble for a team that had already won the domestic league and Cup double.
    The superb final, with a resilient Juve remaining contenders until the very last, may go some way to restoring the game's reputation after a calamitous two weeks in which it has been reeling from corruption allegations surrounding world governing body FIFA.
