- Story Text: "Star Wars" enthusiasts in Shanghai had chance to watch the classic films in theatres on Friday (June 19) as the episodes were back during the Shanghai International Film Festival.
"Star Wars" episode 4,5 and 6 were screening as part of the film festival in Shanghai while the films were already out of license in other countries.
The fans in Shanghai were very excited to have the films back.
"Actually I'm pretty excited. They tested projector just now. I heard the theme of Star Wars and I feel so excited. It's won't be a tough seven-hour," said a 28-year-old Shen Qun.
"I feel so excited after watching it because you cannot imagine this movie was made in 1977. The age of this movie is even older than mine. The movie effect is great though the story telling is in an old way, justice defeating evil. I still feel soul-stirring after watching it," said 27-year-old fan Feng Dengyue.
"Star Wars," created by filmmaker George Lucas, grossed more than $4.4 billion at the world-wide box office since 1977 with six films and has become embedded in pop culture, spawning a legion of devoted fans.
