- Story Text: Ukraine's WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko weighed in on Friday (May 28) ahead of his bout against Albert Sosnowski.
The 38-year-old Ukrainian faces Sosnowski, a native of Poland based in England on Saturday (May 29) in Gelsenkirchen's Veltnis Arena.
Even though Sosnowski has 48 fights under his belt, he is largely unknown as a heavyweight. But Klitschko's coach Fritz Sdunek is cautious and said former European Champions should not be underestimated.
"Sosnowski is a driven, hungry young man who is very well prepared. He makes a very good impression and it is sure to be an interesting fight, one that will be aggressive. Not like the last bout against Kevin Johnson who was just boxing to survive," Sdunek said.
Vitali's record is 41 wins and two losses.
Vitali and younger brother Wladimir, IBF and WBO champion, are being lined up for WBA champion David Haye as the Briton seeks to unify the world heavyweight titles. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
