- Story Text: Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti hopes his side can start the league campaign on a high note when they face newly-promoted West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (August 14).
"It's very important for us to start well the season, because I think that one of the reason of last year of our victory was a good start, not only the first match, but we won maybe the first six or seven games, so for this reason I think we want the title, we want to do the same this year."
Chelsea are believed to be in the final stages of securing the transfer of Brazil midfielder Ramires, who was initially doubtful as a signing as he didn't fulfil Britain's strict work permit requirements of having appeared for one's national team more than 75 percent of the time in the past two years.
"I hope that everything will be okay as soon as possible, he is a fantastic player, he's a fantastic midfielder, he's very young, he will be the future of the Brazilian national team, and I hope he will be the future of Chelsea," he said.
Chelsea have since been given permission to sign the player and he is expected to sign a contract with Blues soon. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
