- Story Text: China said on Tuesday (June 23) it hopes Greece gets out of its debt crisis at an early date.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang made the comment at a regular news briefing.
Lu also announced that Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will visit Europe from June 28 to July 2 where he will attend the 17th China-EU summit in Brussels and visit France.
"From China's principle and standpoint, we hope Greece will get out of the crisis soon so as to push forward the stable development of the EU integration process. I believe Premier Li Keqiang will fully and deeply exchange views on the issues of common concern, including some realistic issues, with the European leaders during his visit in Europe," Lu told reporters.
Greece took a step back from the brink on Monday (June 22) by presenting new budget proposals that Eurozone leaders welcomed as a basis for a possible agreement to unlock frozen aid and avert a looming default. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
