- Story Text: The Christmas day weather forecast in Sydney included grey skies and rain, but tourists happy to hit the sand, brought Christmas cheer to Australia's famous Bondi Beach.
Girls in santa hats and bikinis soaked up the warm weather while some surfers hit the water with santa on their minds. .
Georgie Knul, a tourist from the U.K. was excited to enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach with friends.
"Yeah this is really amazing this is really unique, we've come all the way from the U.K., England and Scotland and we've never done anything like this before. I'm on Bondi Beach in an elf outfit, its incredible," said Knul.
Police were on hand to patrol the beach and to enforce the zero tolerance ban on alcohol.
Fred Kuglin, a visitor from the United States soaked up the beach atmosphere.
"My wife really likes a white Christmas, I like this white Christmas, the white sand," said Kuglin.
Carolina Marks Kraska from Poland who lives in Sydney with her two year old son had her parents visiting for Christmas. The family celebrated Christmas Eve with Polish traditions on December 24, but enjoyed it Australian style on Friday (December 25th), Christmas Day.
