- Story Text: After delivering a composed and convincing presentation to IOC members in Durban on Wednesday (July 6) Olympic figure skating champion Yuna Kim told Reuters that she had been feeling very nervous before taking the podium
"I was so nervous before my presentation but when I started speaking I felt a little better and I think that the presentation that I did my speech was the best including my practices and overall our Pyeongchang team did a great job and we are all satisfied with our job," Yuna Kim told Reuters, adding "I achieved my dream... I hope that young generations can be inspired."
Rival bids from Germany's Munich and Annecy of France had aready made their presentations before the delegation from Pyeongchang took to the stage.
This is Peyongchang's third consequtive bid to host the Winter Olympics having missed out in the past to bids from Russia's Sochi and Vancouver of Canada.
When asked to describe the impact that Yuna Kim has had on Peyongchang's campaign this time round bid chief Mr Cho Yang-Ho told Reuters that her involvement had given the campaign added impetus.
