- Story Text: England captain John Terry on Tuesday (March 27) said the team would have to abandon performance in favour of results as they struggle to qualify for Euro 2008.
England drew 0-0 with Israel at the weekend which left them three points behind Russia and five adrift of group leaders Croatia.
Gerrard told a news conference before Wednesday's game with Andorra in Barcelona: "It's just a must-win game, it's a three points game, it's nothing else, it's not about performance. I said that after the game the other night. From now on it's about results, we basically we need three points in every single game."
The players and manager Steve McClaren have come in for heavy criticism in the British media for a string of poor results and the fact that they have scored only once in their last five games.
Influential midfielder Steven Gerrard blamed the poor form on a lack of time the squad has together.
"We have definitely got the ability within the squad to play a lot better than we are now. We get little time together, not trying to make excuses, but it's obviously a lot more difficult to make a team work when you got three days or four days together." - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
