- Story Text:Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (July 09) said India is laying a 'red carpet' for international companies to come and establish their presence in the country, during the Global Week 2020.
Modi's government is slowly restarting economic activities after a prolonged period of slow growth in Asia's third-largest economy due to months of lockdown that has raised debt and persistent stress in parts of the financial system.
Modi also said that India is already seeing 'green-shoots' of economic recovery, and urged foreign investors to pour money in potential sectors in the country, including agriculture, defence, and space and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
