- Story Text: Security forces on Saturday (July 11) foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LOC) and gunned down two militants in Jammu and Kashmir territory, said an Indian Army official.
Indian soldiers along the LoC in Nougam sector of the restive valley detected suspicious movement originating from Pakistan's Post in the area. The two militants were killed during an exchange of fire between the militants and the security forces.
The bodies of the militants along with arms and ammunition were have been recovered.
Kashmir is a Muslim-majority region at the heart of decades of hostility between India and Pakistan. The neighbours both rule parts of the region while claiming the entire territory as theirs. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
