- Story Text: Health officials have set up mobile testing clinics in Mexico City's barrios that are under red alert for coronavirus infections, as Latin America's no.2 economy seeks to contain the spread of the pandemic.
At this tent in the Tlalhuac Municipality of Mexico City, residents can get a free test that will provide quick positive or negative results. The scheme has been rolled out in 32 suburbs in the capital that have slipped back into red alert.
Mexico's Health Ministry on Tuesday (July 14) reported 7,051 new confirmed coronavirus infections and 836 additional fatalities, bringing the total in the country to 311,486 cases and 36,327 deaths.
The government has said the real number of infected people is likely significantly higher than the confirmed cases.
