- Story Text: The front and back pages of Englands main newspapers called on its football team to 'make history' on Wednesday night (July 7) by beating Denmark in the semi-final of Euro 2020.
"Come on England! Lets make history" exclaimed the front page of The Daly Mail. While the Times declared: "Now Gareth is 90 minutes from history".
The match sees England return to the Euro semi-finals at Wembley for the first time since 1996 when they were knocked out when the current teams coach Gareth Southgate missed a penalty in a shootout against Germany.
The winner will face Italy in the final, also at Wembley, after they defeated Spain on penalties on Tuesday night (July 6).
