- Story Text:Another wildfire broke out in California on Tuesday (July 13).
The so-called Dixie Fire in the northern part of the state has burned more than 2,200 acres, according to fire officials.
Dry vegetation, hot temperatures and wind cause the fire to balloon in size on Wednesday (July 14).
The fire is zero percent contaned, according to officials.
Meanwhile, in Oregon, the so-called Bootleg Fire continued to spread, triggering more evacuations.
U.S. Forest Service representative Erik Wegner said the fire was fueled by dense vegetation, tall trees, and dry material.
The Bootleg Fire began on July 6. Since then, it has quadrupled in size according to fire officials.
