- Story Text:Exiled Tibetans in India's northern hill town of Dharamsala took part in a candlelight vigil to condemn China on World Day for International Justice on Saturday (July 17).
Tibetans with candles, banners, posters and flags marched on the streets and sang as they tried to highlight the alleged atrocities being committed by the Chinese government.
"We have organised a candlelight vigil seeking the international community to make China accountable for causing so much chaos and for denying justice to the Tibetans, Uyghurs, Hong Kongers, Taiwanese and the Inner Mongolians," said General Secretary, Tibetan Youth Congress, Sonam Tsering.
China sent troops into remote, mountainous Tibet in 1950 in what it officially terms a peaceful liberation and has ruled there with an iron fist ever since. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
