- Story Text:Legendary Italian horror-suspense director Dario Argento made an appearance on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Friday (July 16) evening.
Argento walked the red carpet with Argentine director Gaspar Noe for their new film "Vortex" which is screening in the Cannes Premiere section of the 74th Cannes Film Festival.
"Vortex" is centred around the last days of an elderly couple who suffer from dementia and stars Argento in the role of "Dad", Francoise Lebrun as "Mom", and Alex Lutz as "Son"
Argento, 80, is best known for cult classics as including the 1977 film "Suspiria" and "Inferno" from 1980.
