La Paz's local government deployed 12 vaccination centres in the city on Sunday, intending to immunise at least 70% of the region's population.
Bolivia's government has sought to step up its immunisation programme. So far, the Andean country has administered 3.12 million doses, of which 2,3 million have received only the first shot, and 796,290 have received both doses, according to the Health Ministry.
Coronavirus infections in Bolivia have surpassed 462,154, and 17,458 people have died, according to Reuters data.
