Environment ministers from G20 countries will meet in Italy on July 22 and 23 to discuss issues including climate and energy.
The G20 members account for more than 80% of world gross domestic product, 75% of global trade and 60% of the population of the planet.
The meetings come as the European Union on July 14 unveiled its most ambitious plan yet to fight climate change, with a dozen policies setting out in unprecedented detail how to overhaul its 27 economies to become greener this decade.
