- Story Text: Muslims in India headed to markets to buy sacrificial animals, mainly goats and sheep, on Tuesday (July 20) a day before Eid al-Adha festival.
Locals said that the goats were very expensive this year and their transportation has been difficult because of coronavirus restrictions and rising fuel prices.
India's Kerala eased restrictions for three days during the celebration of Eid al-Adha and its shopping, worrying experts on the spread of the deadly virus.
Country's apex court called the relaxation of COVID curbs for the festivities in the state "an alarming and sorry state of affairs". The state is witnessing about 15 percent of positivity rate in some areas.
