- Story Text:Dozens of taxis drove by Reina nightclub on Wednesday (January 4) demonstrating against the grisly attack that killed 39 people and wounded 69 others at a New Year's celebration.
Drivers left red carnations to the makeshift memorial where the attacker, who remains at large, shot dead a police officer and a civilian as he made his way to the club.
One of them, Hasan Haciosmanoglu, who witnessed the gunman's arrival said he cannot forget the moment of attack.
"I am going through terrible days. Of course it is unavoidable to get depressed everytime I remember it. I remember that scene all the time. People's screams, the sound of gunfire and explosion. Unavoidably you get depressed," he said.
In a statement claiming the attack on Monday (January 2), Islamic State described the club as a gathering point for Christians celebrating their "apostate holiday" and said the shooting was revenge for Turkish military involvement in Syria. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
