- Story Text: A long line of cars formed at the Canada-United States border at midnight as Canada began allowing vaccinated US citizens and permanent residents to enter from Monday (August 9).
Travelers were expected to have allowed at least 14 days to pass since their last vaccine dose and have a negative COVID-19 test no more than 72 hours old, according to news reports.
The border has been closed to non-essential travel since March, 2020.
