- Story Text: Natalie Portman, Jeff Bridges and Gael Garcia Bernal are among some of the celebrities that hit the red carpet at the 74th Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday (January 08).
Many celebrities reflected on the opportunity to attend the Golden Globes and participate in awards season.
"It's like a sort of celebrity souk, isn't it. It's sort of like a market and it's jam packed full of people," said filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson.
"It's slightly surreal but huge fun. It's just a big party, isn't it, and it's a lovely way to start 2017. Get everybody together, no one takes it too seriously, and then I think for the rest of the year everybody here will go off and make more films and more television that we'll see in 2018 and it's a nice way to kick things off," said Tom Hiddleston.
"I'm so happy, I'm so enthusiastic, I'm ready and excited. I want the series and the film, because there is "Mozart in the Jungle" but "Neruda" as well and I would love for one of them to win something. It would be fantastic. I hope they do and if I win again well that would just be incredible," said Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal.
Actress Evan Rachel Wood stood out in a sea of gowns by wearing a black pant suit.
"I guess, a modern day androgynous, old Hollywood look. It's a custom suit from Altuzarra and I sent them a lot of reference photos of Marlene Dietrich and "Victor, Victoria" and very androgynous women with a very classic feel. And, I don't know, I've been to the Golden Globes many times and I've always worn a dress and I loved them but I kind of wanted to try change it up this year, so," said Wood of her ensemble.
