- Story Text: School-based vaccine clinics rolled out on Monday (August 30) in Los Angeles, to vaccinate school employees and students age 12 and older against COVID-19.
The clinics offered the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which is approved for children over 12.
Mobile vaccination teams will visit every middle and high school campus in the Los Angeles Unified School District to deliver first and second doses.
Earlier in August, California became the first U.S. state to require that its teachers and other school staff be vaccinated or regularly tested for COVID-19.
