- Story Text: Germany coach Hansi Flick oversaw a training session in Stuttgart on Monday (August 30) ahead of his debut in the new role when his team plays Liechtenstein on Sept. 2 in the World Cup qualifiers.
According to DFB, the German soccer federation, 21 of the 26 players arrived in Stuttgart on Sunday.
Jonas Hofmann and Florian Neuhaus, who both play for Borussia Moenchengladbach, Lukas Klostermann (RB Leipzig) and Ridle Baku (VfL Wolfsburg) were all still playing Bundesliga matches on Sunday and only arrived later that evening, according to DFB.
Thilo Kehrer, whose club Paris Saint-Germain played Stade Reims in the Ligue 1 late on Sunday, was expected to arrive on Monday, the DFB said.
Apart from the Liechtenstein qualifier, Flick's Germany team will also play Armenia in a home game on Sept. 5 and Iceland in Reykjavik on Sept. 8.
