- Story Text: Actress Letitia Wright was treated for minor injuries in hospital following an accident on set of Marvel's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", Hollywood publication Variety reported on Wednesday (August 25).
The incident, described as "a stunt rig accident", took place during filming in Boston, according to Variety.
The sequel's production is based in Atlanta, it added.
"Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon," Variety quoted a Marvel spokesperson as saying in a statement.
A spokesperson for Wright said the actress had been discharged from hospital and was now recuperating.
The accident has not impacted the sequel's filming schedule, Variety added.
In 2018's box office hit "Black Panther", Wright played Shuri, the tech genius sister of main character T'Challa, portrayed by late actor Chadwick Boseman.
"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" is scheduled for release next summer.
