- Story Text: Various media outlets have reported that mother-daughter actresses Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher were buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles on Friday (January 06). Shots of a police-escorted motorcade, that included two hearses, arrived at the cemetery - although Reuters has not yet confirmed that the motorcade was transporting Fisher and Reynolds.
On Thursday (January 05), a private memorial service for the duo was held at their joint residence in Beverly Hills. Meryl Streep, Ellen Barkin and Ed Begley, Jr. were in attendance, as were Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd, and her father, Bryan Lourd, who was Fisher's partner in the early '90s, were also present.
Best known for her role as Princess Leia in the "Star Wars" films, Fisher, 60, died on December 27, four days after suffering a heart attack on a flight from Britain, where she had been shooting the third season of a British television comedy.
A day later, Reynolds, who sang and danced her way into the hearts of moviegoers in Hollywood musicals such as "Singin' in the Rain," suffered a stroke and died at the age of 84.
Forest Lawn, located in the Hollywood Hills, is the final resting place for many stars, including Lucille Ball, Bette Davis, and Liberace. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
