- Story Text: The Grevin Wax Museum in Paris brought the last touches to U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump's statue on Thursday (January 19) as the real Trump prepares to take office on the eve of his inauguration.
Dressed in a dark blue suit and a red tie, the wax version of Trump stood between the statues of Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The statue, a detailed lookalike, had to be done at very short notice, French news site France Info said, because the museum had anticipated a victory by Hillary Clinton. The statue was executed in two months rather than the usual six needed.
The hardest bit was the hair, France Info reports, with a special effort to get the right hair colour.
Outgoing President Barack Obama will remain close by, as a permanent figure at the Grevin Museum, by virtue of his Nobel peace prize. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
