It is a scene that will probably never turn into reality - American president Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un hugging and leaning in for a kiss on the bustling streets of Hong Kong.
The controversial world leaders' doppelgangers turned heads and tickled a giggle out of many as they paraded down a busy shopping district to promote a Chinese New Year song on Wednesday (January 25).
Kim's lookalike, Hong Kong-based Australian musician Howard, swaggering in the young leader's trademark black uniform, shouted "die, America, die," while his Trump counterpart, 66-year-old American musician who goes by the name of Dennis Alan, pouted and took the insults in stride.
Alan, who lives in Chicago city, says he decided to take up the role of Trump shortly after the U.S. election campaign began.
It took Alan an hour and a half to get ready for the public appearance. The transformation saw him putting layer after layer of orange foundation on his face and having a hair stylist to delicately fix the tailor-made wig on his head.
"Well I was surprised as everyone else, and certainly all my friends and acquaintances are saying that I have steady work, which is pretty rare for a professional musician particularly in America, anymore. So I'm looking forward to that. We'll see if this will help me lead to that," Alan responded when asked about Trump's presidency.
The Kim impersonator, in tongue-in-cheek comments, praised the newly inaugurated leader of the free world and said the two nations could finally be friends because both are now led by "dictators."
"I think he's a great leader and he's much like me, a dictator. And I think with that in mind he's going to turn the United States into North Korea 2.0. So we're going to be great friends," said Howard, who declined to give his surname.
Both locals and tourists turned heads as the pair toured around the city.
"I'm very impressed by the city, but most of all that I can meet President Trump and President from North Korea," Italian-tourist, Raymond Donega said.
"They look so similar, If Trump was slightly shorter he'd be a lot more like the real one," student Ho Si-yat said after following the pair for a picture for half an hour.
Kim had said on New Year's day North Korea was close to test-launching an intercontinental ballistic missile which suggested the United States could be in range. Trump had tweeted "it won't happen."
