- Story Text: Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi met his Nordic counterparts in Copenhagen on Wednesday (May 5) at a summit to bolster ties with the northern European countries.
Blue economy, climate and sustainable development, and multilateral cooperation in the context of COVID (COVID-19) aftermath were the key agendas of the Nordic Summit, said the Indian foreign ministry officials.
India has been under constant pressure from the European countries, for its stance on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Though Modi called for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine on Tuesday, New Delhi has not explicitly condemned what Moscow calls its special military operation.
Modi concluded his second India-Nordic summit and left for France to meet the newly re-elected French President, Emmanuel Macron. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
