- Story Text: Indian singer, Krishnakumar Kunnath, better known as KK, was cremated in India's western Mumbai city on Thursday (June 02) after he died reportedly due to a heart attack.
Kunnath died on Tuesday (June 01) night after falling ill in the middle of a concert.
The singer was performing at a crowded indoor stadium in the eastern Indian city of Kolkata when he complained of uneasiness.
A huge crowd of fans gathered outside his residence to bid farewell to the singer, who was later cremated in the presence of his family, friends, and colleagues from the Indian film industry.
"It is a very big loss for our industry and the entire country. It is a personal loss for us, the singers. Please pray that he receives heaven," said singer, Hariharan.
