- Story Text: Soccer players with different disabilities got together in Mexico City's iconic Azteca Stadium to take part in an inclusive soccer tournament on Saturday (June 4).
Players with dwarfism, blindness, amputations and from the neurodiverse community participated in matches of the Adapted Soccer tournament.
"To us, as short stature people, soccer is a passion just as it is for all Mexicans. Being included through sports is a dream come true," a mid-fielder with the Mexican National Team for people with dwarfism, Ismael Quintero said.
According to Mexico City's authorities, the tournament was created to spotlight inclusive soccer.
