- Story Text: Parts of Florida were hit by flooding on Saturday (June 04) as a tropical weather system inundated The Sunshine State.
Video showed cars sloshing through flood water in Miami and Fort Lauderdale after prolonged rain overnight.
The City of Miami Department of Fire-Rescue released videos on its Twitter account showing a submerged car on a flooded street in Miami and one of the department’s High Water Vehicles being deployed.
The National Weather Service issued a tropical storm warning for Florida, warning of “flash and urban flooding†for Southern Florida and the Florida Keys.
The National Hurricane Center warned that Potential Tropical Cyclone One could bring in winds as high as 40 miles per hour (64kph).
