    LaQuan Smith took over the Intrepid Museum to debut his new collection at New York Fashion Week: The Shows on Monday (September 12).
    Vibrant, bold and bright colors filled the belly of the ship as models showcased the New York designer’s spring/summer 2022 line.
    The fashion house stayed true to its unapologetically sexy aesthetic.
    “That's LaQuan Smith,” declared the designer.
    “I've been having a lot of fun while learning how to really expand product categories while offering things for day to night, offering things from size two, you know, 14.”
    From low rise pants to short hem lines the clothes can take the buyer from day to night.
    Sexy cut outs, crop tops and fun embellishments gave the line its flare. Metal was used as chest plates and hip adornments.
    For Smith, the collection was all about movement.
    “Fluidity, air, vibrancy, frequency, sensuality. A sense of being - eroticism, you know, rich, luxurious. I mean, my woman is definitely a woman who travels, who loves to look good, who loves to spend money, who loves to work out. She is the center of attention.”
    Celebrity fashion fans including LaLa Anthony, Becky G and Babyface attended the show.
    New York fashion week will end on September 14.
