(SOUNDBITE) (English) PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER, 29, GEORGINA SUTTLE, SAYING: "You know, the Queen has been a really strong figure in all of our lives and she's been there constantly for everybody. And it feels kind of like a really--I don't want to get emotional--but, you know, a really sad moment in everyone's lives, especially in Britain but I know across the world as well." - Story Text: Floral tributes to Britain's Queen Elizabeth from the previous day were cleared away by workers outside Buckingham Palace on Saturday (September 10) morning as the day's first mourners arrived to pay their respects.
As the sun rose over the late Queen's residence, people arrived to place fresh flowers and to remember Elizabeth who died at the age of 96 on Thursday (September 8).
"It's a poignant time in our country's history and it's just being here to be part of that and show respect to the late Queen and also to the new King," said design manager, 54, Ian Bilboe.
Elizabeth's heir, King Charles will officially be proclaimed as Britain's new monarch on Saturday in a ceremony followed by gun salutes and the reading of proclamations in London and across the four corners of the United Kingdom.
