- Story Text: Scores of people in Jerusalem attended a remembrance service for Queen Elizabeth II on Tuesday (September 13) that was held at the Anglican St. George’s Cathedral.
With a recital of hymns and prayers, the service was launched, and a book of condolences was set next to a picture of the Queen.
The Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem, Husam Naoum, held the service to celebrate the life of the late cherished Sovereign.
''Today we had people from near and far, from Israel and from the Palestinian Territories, coming here to celebrate the life and ministry of Queen Elizabeth II," he said.
St. George's Cathedral is an Anglican (Episcopal) cathedral in Sheikh Jarrah, Jerusalem, established in 1899.
