- Story Text: At least seven workers were killed after elevator pit's formwork of an under-construction building collapsed in India's western Ahmedabad city on Wednesday (September 14).
The incident took place in the morning after eight workers, six working on 13th floor and two on the 5th floor fell into the pit, said local media reports.
One worker was severely injured in the accident.
"The mishap at an under-construction building in Ahmedabad is saddening. Condolences to those who have lost their family members in this mishap. I hope the injured recover soon. The local authorities are providing all possible assistance to those affected," said Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in a tweet. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
