  • Story Text: Mourners lined the Mall leading from Buckingham Palace to Westminster on Wednesday (September 14) to watch the procession carrying Queen Elizabeth's coffin to lie in state until the funeral on Sept. 19.
    "It meant so much just to be able to say goodbye to her," said Micky Denton, 51, from Hertfordshire, who had come with her grandchildren to see the procession.
    Huge crowds gathered in central London to witness the queen being taken from the palace to parliament as artillery guns fired salutes and Big Ben tolled.
    The ceremony was the latest in a series of poignant ceremonies as the nation mourns the queen who died last week aged 96 after seven decades on the throne.
