Tropical storm Julia brought floods, material damage and left one dead person in a Mexican coastal city on Tuesday (October 11), after its violent passage through Central America.
Mexican Civil Protection Authorities informed one person died after the heavy rainfall of Tuesday night in Acapulco, a tourist hotspot in the Pacific coast.
La Venta neighbourhood's mayor, Juan Luis Delgado, said around 200 houses were completely damaged and many families lost their life-long belongings.
Members of the army arrived in Acapulco on Wednesday (October 12) to help clean up debris from the streets.
Storm Julia's death toll in Central American countries rose to at least 25 on Monday (October 10), with most victims in El Salvador and Guatemala.
