The couple could be seen holding hands as they posed for photos on the BAFTA red carpet on March 13. According to media reports Hiddleston, 41, and Ashton, 37, have been dating for some three years. Hiddleston, who is famed for his West End stage work and playing antagonist Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), later in June simply confirmed the engagement to the LA Times by replying "I'm very happy". Actor, playwright and director Ashton, who is best known for her performance in the British TV series "Fresh Meat" and "Not Safe for Work" and who has also joined the MCU in the 2023 film "The Marvels", also confirmed end of June to Vogue magazine that she expecting the couple's first child.
