- Story Text: Three leopard cubs were rescued and united with their mother in India's western Nashik city on Monday (December 05).
The cubs, which were separated from their mother, were found by labourers in a sugarcane field near Pathardi village of the district.
The forest officials reached the spot, examined their health, and kept them restricted to the area to help their mother come back to take them away, said forest official.
India's big cats are under threat, with an increasing number of spotted feline beauties being poached for their hide and other body parts.
On the other hand, the depletion of their habitat has threatened the leopards, forcing them to stray into human settlements and often get killed in return. - Copyright Holder: ANI (India)
