- Story Text:A Jordanian amateur soccer commentator, immobile due to paralysis, dreams of attending the World Cup finals in Qatar.
Amer Abu Nawas, took up soccer commentary following the encouragement of his relatives and friends after finding that his analysis of games matched that of professionals.
He established a Facebook page called ‘Home Analysis’ where he posts videos of himself commenting on games. Attracting around 60,000 followers since he started in 2017, the viewership of some of his videos has exceeded a million.
“All of my followers are my family, my communication with them is from the heart to the heart, and I always talk to them through videos, whether analysis videos or live. I am always with them,†the 26-year old said.
Dreaming of watching World Cup games in Qatar, Abu Nawas, started an initiative called ‘Amer’s dream to go to Qatar to follow the World Cup’ but his dream remains unmet.
“I also dream of watching Liverpool in Anfield stadium and I hope these dreams will not remain unfulfilled.â€
