  • Story Text: Pele's final resting place will have a view of the soccer field in Santos stadium that made him a star in Brazil.
    Pele's funeral procession ended at the Ecumenical Memorial Necropolis cemetery, where he will be buried in a private ceremony on the ninth floor of the 14-storey vertical cemetery.
    According to reports, the ninth floor was chosen to honour Pele's father Dondinho, who wore the number nine shirt when he played soccer.
    Brazil has declared three days of mourning for the soccer icon.
    Fans young and old played tribute to Pele's greatness outside the cemetery on Tuesday (January 3).
