  • Story Text: CES, the annual technology industry show in Las Vegas, opened its doors to the public on Thursday (January 5).
    The annual Consumer Electronics Show annual draws thousands of technology enthusiasts to Las Vegas, for a a peek at the latest innovations.
    Due to the omicron variant, last year's CES was a scaled back affair, with many exhibitors and participants choosing to stay away because of COVID.
    "It's really amazing seeing everyone, especially like back from the pandemic. It's so exciting to see all the new tech and all the faces around and, you know, getting to like meet different vendors and exhibitors. It's a really exciting experience. So I'm really thrilled to be here," said Marina Timoteo, a tech enthusiast from Las Vegas.
    "I mean, this is way less digital (than last year). I really like it when people are around. It's so cool to immerse. It's like so immersive to see many people passionate about the things you're going to review to talk about. And it's really nice to be here and being around all these people," added Allesandro Pilia, a tech enthusiast who flew over from Italy for CES.
    The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is the world's biggest tech and gadget show, runs through Sunday (January 8).
