World Cup fans are finding thrills away from the soccer pitch in New Zealand, where revellers are taking a quick 11 seconds out of their day to plunge 192 metres (630 feet) from the country's tallest structure.
The Sky Tower, which was completed in 1997 after two years and nine months of construction, stands at 328 metres (1076 feet) with an assortment of telecommunications transmitters at the top. A restaurant, observation desk, and a platform for jumpers all sit near the top as well.
The thrill of the jump has attracted World Cup fans, especially from the U.S, says sales manager Leo Medina of A.J. Hacket Bungy, which manages the SkyJump.
Jumpers are fitted with a jumpsuit and harness, which is quadruple-checked from the floor up until the top, where they get to view Auckland before stepping off and quickly falling to a landing platform below.
