It is time to get off that list and recognise that they (bulls) are living beings who deserve respect." Animal rights advocates in Colombia staged a performance with flares and red paint on Tuesday (April 16) to call on legislators to debate a law that would ban bullfighting in the country.
Activists waved red flares as a half-naked woman wearing red paint to simulate blood and a bull mask protested outside Congress in Bogota to demand lawmakers ban the centuries-old spectacle.
The law against bullfighting in Colombia is one step away from being passed. If passed, it would mark a milestone in the fight against bullfighting in the South American country.
