  • Story Text: Senior citizens and disabled individuals in Indian Kashmir cast their votes from home using postal ballots on Monday (April 15), for the upcoming general elections.
    Teams of polling officers carried voting material to the homes of those with physical limitations due to age or disabilities, to mark their participation in the elections, while ensuring the secrecy of their vote.
    India is set to hold elections in seven phases starting April 19, until early June. Polls in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in five phases.
