- Title: Artistic swimmers promote Paris 2024 at iconic London venue
- Date: 17th April 2024
- Summary: (SOUNDBITE) (English) FORMER OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL WINNING CYCLIST, LAURA KENNY, SAYING: "But, you know, the one thing that the Olympics gives that no other event gives is the kind of the community, the fact that it brings so many people into one place at one time and it will be anyone and everyone. I remember London 2012 and walking around the streets and everyone's talking to each other and it had this real kind of like family aspect to it. And that's what I would say the Olympics brings - like it brings that kind of like everyone is united and that's actually what I'm looking forward to it. There's no sort of set event as such. It's just the buzz, like the Olympic buzz. You don't get that around any other sporting event."

- Story Text: Four artistic swimmers showcased their talents - and this summer's Olympics - at a promotional event in London's Covent Garden on Wednesday (April 17).
The quartet, which included former Team GB Olympians Asha Randall and Katie Clark, took the plunge in a temporarily installed pool - complete with bar stalls - and performed routines to music.
It was to publicise the activities of On Location, the official hospitality partner for the Paris 2024 Olympics, who say the event is proving more popular than any other games with their client base.
They also said they are working closely with Paris organisers to ensure the safety of those visiting, especially around the opening ceremony. That event is due to take place along the River Seine in the centre of the French capital and has prompted security concerns.
Among those in attendance at the event were former Olympic medalist Laura Kenny, who confirmed her retirement from cycling earlier this year. She will be in Paris as a spectator.
