- Story Text: President Leopold Senghor of Senegal, arrived in Abidjan on Wednesday (November 8), for a 24-hour official visit, during which he held talks with President Felix Houphouet-Boigny on matters of bilateral relations, West African construction, and the evolution of the African, Malagasy and Mauritian Common Organisation (OCAMM).
President Senghor, who was accompanied by his wife, was met at Abidjan Airport by the Ivorian Head of State and Mme. Houphouet-Boigny.
Following his brief stop-over in Abidjan, President Senghor continued his trip to Nigeria, where he is spending several days on an official visit. Before leaving, President Senghor announced that President Houphouet-Boigny had accepted an invitation to visit Senegal next March.
SYNOPSIS: At abidjan airport on Wednesday, the arrival of the aircraft carrying President Leopold Senghor of Senegal. There to greet him--Ivorian President Felix Houphouet-Boigny. The two Heads of State were also accompanied by their wives.
After the official greetings, the two Presidents inspected the Guard of Honour.
During President Senghor's twenty-four hour stay in Abidjan--enroute to an official visit to Nigeria--he held talks with the Ivorian President on matters or bilateral relations, West African construction, and the evolution of the African, Malagasy and Mauritian Common Organisation--OCAMM. During his brief stop-over in the Ivory Coast, President Sanghor announced that he had invited President Houphouet-Boigny to visit Senegal--and that this visit would take place next March.
