- Story Text: Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, continued his short tour of the Middle East on Tuesday (February 18), meeting senior Saudi politicians and touring a farm near the capital Riyadh.
The Prince of Wales was welcomed in Riyadh by Prince Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdullah al-Saud, minister of the National Guard on Monday (February 17), before sitting down for a meeting with the foreign minister, Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
He was later taken on a tour of the Al-Janadriyah farm near the capital by the Minister of National Guard, Prince Mutaib Bin Abdullah Al-Saud,
The Prince also later met Second Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and the President of the Saudi Commission for Tourisim and Antiquities, Prince Sultan Bin Salman Al-Saud.
His four-day trip to Saudi Arabia and Qatar comes just under a year since he last toured the region.
Most of the engagements on his tour are private but there are set to be some public events including a tour of an old Saudi Arabian city Diriyah. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
