- Story Text: As Britons prepare for the petrol rationing that might be just around the corner, two leading Arab Oil Ministers arrived in London on Wednesday (28 November) for talks with British Government officials.
Sheikh Ahmed Zaki Yamasni, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Jil, and M. Belaid Abdessalem, the Algerian Industry Minister, arrived in the British capital on the second leg of a tour of European capitals, during which they intend to explain the Arab nations' position on oil.
On Thursday, the two Ministers are having separate talks with the British prime Minister, Mr. Edward Heath, the Foreign Secretary, Sir Alec Douglas-Home and Mr. Peter Thomas, the Minister for Industry.
At a press conference at London's Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, Sheikh Yamani was optimistic about his visit:
